PALEO-SCULPTURESBRONZE DINOSAURBy Nelson R. Maniscalco
Text Box: Nelson R. Maniscalco has been a Professor of Art at Cedar Crest College and an award winning bronze sculptor for more than 35 years. The sculptures pictured here represent examples from a dinosaur series that began in 1995 with a commission from Maxilla & Mandible, LTD for The American Museum of Natural History in New York City.

Each sculpture is a one-of-a-kind, individually sculpted piece, cast in true bronze utilizing the lost-wax casting process. Incorporating jewelry and small sculpture techniques, Maniscalco is able to create remarkably detailed, anatomically accurate, dynamically charged sculptures of extinct animals that roamed this world millions of years ago.

Maniscalco currently has sculptures on display at Maxilla & Mandible, LTD, N.Y.C., The Bone Room, Berkley California, Whaler’s Locker, Maui, Hawaii and Lehigh University, Bethlehem, Pa.  To purchase or commission works directly from this site, please contact the artist at kimman@ptd.net
